钠钙玻璃是硅酸盐玻璃的一种。钠钙浮法玻璃是一种性价比较高的中等性能玻璃，但其局限性在于400-700nm的平均透过率约为80%，近红外性能较差。

钠钙浮法玻璃是一种相对平整的片状材料。浮法玻璃是通过将熔融玻璃浮在熔融金属（通常是锡）床上而制成的。使用浮法玻璃制造工艺可使整个孔径表面平整，材料厚度均匀。

钠钙浮法玻璃非常适合用于标准的非科学窗口应用，如保护可见的闭路电视摄像头或用于画框应用和平板显示器的窗口。由于透射性能并不重要，它们也是制作光学反射镜的基板。 板材玻璃有时也被称为钠钙浮法玻璃，是超过2平方米的大板材，厚度从1mm到20mm不等。玻璃表面可以加工成特殊形状，表面还可以磨光，以产生扩散效果。表面还可以蚀刻丝网印刷图案。

钠钙玻璃也是制作钢化或钢化窗的基材，可提高强度并用于高温应用。
